Binaural coordination
Why is Vérité such a success? Another reason is the binaural coordination system. In a binaural fitting, both hearing instruments can communicate with each other and act as one system when necessary. This provides the client with convenience and a more natural hearing experience.
Binaural coordination of the Auto Telephone
Using the telephone in a noisy crowded environment can often be very difficult. In order to reduce distractions while on the telephone it is possible to automatically reduce the gain or even mute the hearing instrument that is not used with the phone.

Binaural feedback detection
Feedback is a constant concern of many hearing instrument users, however, with advanced feedback cancellation systems such as the one used in Vérité, feedback is not an issue. Vérité goes further to address issues of feedback with binaural coordination. If a feedback-like signal is detected in one hearing instrument then it is cancelled immediately. However, if a feedbacklike signal is detected in both hearing instruments at the same time then it is not judged to be feedback and is not cancelled. This reduces any unnecessary limiting of high pitched sounds such as flute music.
Binaural environment detection
It is important for a hearing instrument to accurately detect the acoustic environment that the end user is in. The detection of the acoustic environment in Vérité is binaurally coordinated in order to ensure that the system is in the same mode for both hearing instruments. This ensures that speech is in focus and that radically different automatic settings are not seen.
