1946  A1 2-Pack - the first Bernafon pocket hearing instrument is introduced.

 

1951  C TG - Bernafon produces a pocket aid with an integrated battery pack.

 

1955  Bernafon introduces the new pocket aid F 400 with 3 controls.

 

1963  The first Bernafon BTE, the model H70 is introduced.

 

1972  The S4 is Bernafon's BTE with a smaller (size 13) battery.

 

1982  The T98 is Bernafon's first BTE with an integrated circuit.

 

1986  The Colibri, a MiniPower BTE with interchangeble casing is introduced.

 

1986  The Charisma, Bernafon's first custom ITC is introduced.

 

1988  The world's first digitally programmable BTE, PHOX is introduced by Bernafon.

 

1988  Bernafon introduces the world's first programming console PX 8 for hearing instruments.

 

1992  The RD Series is introduced as a complete family of digitally programmable instruments with remote control.

 

1996  Audioflex is introduced. This product family remains the most widely sold line of digitally programmable instruments on the market.

 

1997  Dualine and Dualine Digital are introduced providing 2 channels and wide dynamic range compression.

 

1998  Bernafon introduces Opus2, a complete family of conventional hearing instruments.

 

1999  Introduction of Smile. This complete family of fully digital signal processing instruments features dual microphone technology, 2 listening programs and optional remote control.

 

2002 Bernafon is proud to introduce Symbio—a breakthrough in digital signal processing. This is the first hearing system using ChannelFree™ signal processing with fully automatic operation designed to keep speech in focus.

 

2004 Symbio XT is launched with the OpenFit™ feature that allows occlusion free fittings.

 

2005 Bernafon’s new digital entry-level product Win is introduced.

 

2005 Bernafon launches SwissEar™ that stands for Open fitting Perfection. The first Mini BTE’s using thin sound tubes and earpieces that make the instrument almost invisible on the ear.

 

2006 ICOS the new premium hearing system with Personalized Audio Navigation™ is introduced to the market. This modern instrument features the Client Profile with the Lifestlye Profile to personalize the system to the user’s needs and preferences.
